Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 12, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a pilot account, listing your services, or appearing on the Drone Pilots US directory ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Platform purpose

Drone Pilots US, operated by Cooks Drone Works LLC, is a nationwide directory that helps customers find independent drone pilots. We do not employ pilots, perform drone work, or guarantee the quality, safety, or outcome of any job.

3. Pilot eligibility and truthful information

You certify that all information you provide — including your business name, contact details, service area, equipment, certifications, and insurance — is accurate and current. You must:

  • Hold a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate for any commercial drone work.
  • Carry current general liability insurance that covers the drone services you list.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and airspace restrictions.
  • Not list services you are not qualified, certified, or insured to perform.

4. Independent relationship

Pilots listed on the Platform are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of Drone Pilots US or Cooks Drone Works LLC. Any agreement for drone work is strictly between you and the customer.

5. No liability for the platform

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Drone Pilots US and Cooks Drone Works LLC are not liable for any damages, injuries, losses, disputes, or claims arising from:

  • Your drone operations, equipment, or services.
  • Any interaction, contract, or dispute between you and a customer.
  • Information posted by pilots or customers on the Platform.
  • Use of the Platform, including outages, data errors, or unauthorized account access.

You agree to hold harmless, defend, and indemnify Drone Pilots US and Cooks Drone Works LLC from any claim, demand, or liability related to your listing or drone operations.

6. Prohibited use

You may not use the Platform to:

  • Misrepresent your qualifications, insurance, or equipment.
  • Post false, misleading, or illegal content.
  • Harass customers, other pilots, or site administrators.
  • Offer services that violate FAA rules or any applicable law.

7. Membership, billing, and cancellation

Pilot listings require an active membership. Fees are billed through our payment processor on a monthly or annual basis and auto-renew until canceled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges but does not refund amounts already paid. We reserve the right to remove a listing without refund if these terms are violated.

8. Termination and removal

We may suspend or remove any listing at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these terms, credible complaints, or any reason we deem harmful to the Platform or its users.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes means you accept the updated terms. Pilots will be required to agree to material changes before their listing remains active.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
